An example of proper use of poetic license is found in the movie, The Passion of the Christ. When Jesus was a carpenter, He told his mother, Mary, that His woodwork would one day be popular. Mary laughed, washed His hands, and Jesus sprinkled water on her in a playful manner. This scene depicts their beautiful relationship as mother and son.
Marvel Studios released the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, utilizing Spacehog's "In the Meantime", a song that could provide a great deal of deeper meaning for the movie's story.
Fans are already freaking out over an infant version of Rocket Raccoon while getting the first look at Chukwudi Iwuji's villainous High Evolutionary as this trailer puts the Guardians on a wild adventure through the cosmos in their first solo movie since 2017.
And thanks to James Gunn's history of featuring well-known pop songs in all of his comic-book movie titles, it's only natural that he continued this trend with a song in this new trailer that holds deep meaning for this upcoming story.
Since Star-Lord got his Zune in 2017's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, fans have wondered what new pop songs would make their way into the space-faring epic, although this entry marks the first time any song past the 1980s has been used. James Gunn has spoken often about how much music plays a role in his movies' character development, particularly with Peter Quill, meaning this song should only be the first of many hits that will take the spotlight in the Guardians' third solo movie.
After bringing yet another exciting round of music to the forefront with The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Gunn's latest theatrical effort will continue that trend with a soundtrack that should have fans grooving for a long time. With Vol. 3 still a few months away, it will likely be some time until more music from the next Awesome Mix is revealed, but this first song should serve as a good sign that the movie is in good hands musically.
The official soundtrack for the game was composed by musicians Amon Tobin, James Dooley, Mel Wesson, and Martin Tillman, under the direction of Jonathan Mayer, the music manager at Sony. Rather than use traditional musical instruments, the team wanted to incorporate sounds created from environmental objects and use such objects in conjunction with other instruments that were used in non-traditional manners. Tobin was responsible for in-game music, while Tillman was responsible for cinematic music. Since Tillman has made such a great impression with his work, the group wanted to further incorporate his contribution into pieces that were already finished by remixing them. The official soundtrack was made available for a free download in May 2009, via the iTunes Store.
Sony Computer Entertainment America released a trailer entitled "The Beauty of Powers" in March 2009, which was later released in the PlayStation Store. The game's demo, which was a pre-order bonus at first, was later made available for download to everyone on May 21, 2009.
Infamous was included in both PlayStation 3's Platinum and Greatest Hits budget line-up. It was also among the games made available for a free download as part of the PlayStation Network's "Welcome Back" pack.
GameStop offered the Gigawatt Blades power as a pre-order bonus for Infamous. It was later made available as a free download in the PlayStation Store. Amazon.com also offered a pre-order bonus for Infamous, which was a Reaper costume for PlayStation Home. Those who downloaded the Infamous demo from the PlayStation Store and cleared it were able to receive a Cole costume for PlayStation Home.
Speaking about the infamous Max Payne film, Rockstar's vice president of development Jeronimo Barrera revealed his studio does not consider the movie's notoriety will hinder the sale of their newest game. He provided the Mario franchise as an example of fans enjoying new video games long after a failed motion picture attempt.
The official website of Max Payne 3 was launched in 2009 and for a considerable time contained solely one piece of artwork: the bearded and bald protagonist. Subsequent updates with batches of screenshots followed, and Rockstar gave interviews to Game Informer and Edge magazines revealing more details about the setting and direction of the game. In September of 2011, after the last L.A. Noire downloadable content packs had been released, the Rockstar Games promotional engine shifted to Max Payne 3 as their next big upcoming release. The new campaign began with the first official game trailer premiering on the 14th of September.
Rockstar started releasing free downloadable Max Payne 3 comics, which were partly written by Remedy's Sam Lake, aimed at connecting the storylines of the first two games to Max Payne 3.
On November 21st, the special edition of Max Payne 3 was unveiled. Coming in limited numbers and available for pre-order only, in addition to the videogame, it will include: a statue of Max Payne in a gray suit wielding dual pistols, art prints "depicting some of Max's inner demons and vices," the original soundtrack, a bullet key chain, and digital additions to the multiplayer, such as the 8 character Classic Character Pack (including Mona Sax, Vladimir Lem and Max Payne 2-appearance Payne) and the Disorderly Conduct weapons pack (Molotov Cocktail, Hammerhead auto shotgun, and G9 Grenade Launcher). Originally, the package was to be available for sale only until April 2nd, 2012, but the period was extended up until the launch of the game. This content can now be downloaded for 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE and $2 on PlayStation Network and PC. For Rockstar Pass holders, this content is free of charge via the in-game marketplace options.
