Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets

In the 28th century, due to cooperation between the Earth and extraterrestrial peoples, the former International Space Station has been expanded until its mass threatens to cause gravitational disruption to Earth itself. Relocated to deep space, it becomes Alpha, a space-traveling city inhabited by millions of species from thousands of planets. A police division is created by the United Human Federation to preserve peace throughout the galaxy. Among its staff are the arrogant Major Valerian and his partner, no-nonsense Sergeant Laureline.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

In VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS, it's the 28th century, and agent Valerian (Dane DeHaan) has a strange vision about an alien race. He and his intrepid partner, Laureline (Cara Delevingne), are sent on a mission to a huge, interdimensional black market to retrieve a miraculous little creature that can multiply matter with its body. Then, returning to Alpha (an interconnected series of ships populated by thousands of races, aka "the city of a thousand planets"), the heroes discover that it's under attack, with a strange radioactive zone spreading from its core. Eventually, Valerian and Laureline discover that there's a connection between Valerian's vision and the threat. Worse, they discover that there's a huge cover-up -- and it goes all the way to the top.

To be completely honest, there were instances of both. I think the 3D aspect especially was the biggest culprit. Sometimes everything would look absolutely stunning and other times, like when they showed Alpha, the city of a thousand planets, the image got a bit muddled, which in turn gave me a bit of a headache (or it might have been my contacts). The rest of the features, however, were like a cherry on top of an already entertaining cake of a film.

I have read many movie reviews before your but your review about valerian and the city of a thousand planets brings me a positive thought about this movie and make me want to see how Cara Delevingne acts. Allmost reviews which I have read recommended not to watch this movie. But your and this review at -and-the-city-of-a-thousand-planets/ give me another choosen. Thank your review so much!

In the 28th century, the former International Space Station reached critical mass, making it too dangerous to keep in low Earth orbit. Relocated to deep space, it became Alpha, a space-traveling city inhabited by millions of creatures from thousands of planets. A special police division was created to preserve peace through the galaxy, including happy-go-lucky Major Valerian and his partner, no-nonsense Sergeant Laureline.

From the Studio:Rooted in the classic graphic novel series, Valerian and Laureline- visionary writer/director Luc Besson advances this iconic source material into a contemporary, unique and epic science fiction saga. Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are special operatives for the government of the human territories charged with maintaining order throughout the universe. Valerian has more in mind than a professional relationship with his partner- blatantly chasing after her with propositions of romance. But his extensive history with women, and her traditional values, drive Laureline to continuously rebuff him. Under directive from their Commander (Clive Owen), Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breathtaking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the universe.Written by EuropaCorp 041b061a72
