We've been busy
Children benefit from the amazing changes that simple mindfulness practices can bring about for their emotional health and wellbeing. Mindfulness helps children disengage from the constancy of thinking, judging, planning, worrying, and other cognitive functions that keep our minds so busy all day long.
We collaborated together with one of our very own LO parents, Melissa, on a new initiative called 'Mindfulness and Movement.' She is a certified 200HR Hatha Yoga instructor and is a natural with children. The children thoroughly enjoy their time with her. She guides them through some soothing breathing exercises and encourages them to use their bodies to mimic animal movements.
